A step-by-step guide to downloading your Nordea transactions and converting them to Excel or CSV. Works for Nordea in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland.

Nordea is one of the largest banks in the Nordic region, serving millions of customers across Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland. While Nordea Netbank lets you view transactions online, getting them into Excel for analysis, accounting, or tax purposes requires a few extra steps.

Nordea does not offer direct Excel export

Unlike some banks, Nordea Netbank does not have a built-in "Export to Excel" button. You need to download your statement as PDF first, then convert it.

Step 1: Download your statement from Nordea Netbank

  1. 1Log in to Nordea Netbank at nordea.se (or nordea.no, nordea.dk, nordea.fi) using BankID or your credentials.
  2. 2Navigate to Accounts and select the account you want to export.
  3. 3Set the date range for the transactions you need (e.g., last month, last quarter).
  4. 4Click the print/download icon (or "Skriv ut kontoutdrag" in Swedish). Choose Save as PDF in the print dialog.
  5. 5Alternatively, check under Documents / Dokument for downloadable monthly statements in PDF format.

Step 2: Convert to Excel

Once you have the PDF, converting it to Excel takes about 10 seconds:

  1. 1Go to bsc-converter.vercel.app/convert
  2. 2Drag and drop your Nordea PDF (or click to browse)
  3. 3The converter auto-detects Nordea format and extracts all transactions
  4. 4Download as Excel (.xlsx), CSV, or Fortnox CSV

What you get in the Excel file

The converted Excel file includes:

  • Transaction date -- properly formatted as Excel dates for sorting and filtering
  • Description -- the full transaction text from Nordea
  • Amount -- credits and debits as numbers (positive for income, negative for expenses)
  • Running balance -- the account balance after each transaction
  • Summary sheet -- account number, period, total credits/debits, and closing balance
